Shots Fired at Call For Urgent Assistance

On December 7, 2024, at approximately 9:14 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to 5801 Schwartz Road, at Central Ministries,
On December 4, 2024, at approximately 10:59 A.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area of Yohne Road, west of Smith Road, reference a single-vehicle crash with reported injuries. Upon arrival, officers and medics located a passenger car, well off the roadway, into a wooded area. Witnesses said they located the vehicle while working at a construction area nearby.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the passenger car was eastbound on Yohne Road near a curve, west of Smith Road, when it left the roadway for unknown reasons. Investigators said it appeared the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, as it ended up several hundred feet off the roadway, into the wooded area. Two people in the vehicle were pronounced deceased at the scene.
This incident remains under investigation.
