On April 27, 2024, at approximately 7:06 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 16000 block of State Road 1, near Leo, IN, reference a crash involving two motorcycles. Upon arrival, officers and medics located one patient.
A preliminary investigation indicated both motorcycles were northbound on State Road 1, near the 16000 block. The lead motorcycle attempted to turn around in the roadway to go back southbound, when the motorcycle following, collided with it.
The adult female driver of the lead motorcycle was not injured. The adult male driver of the second motorcycle was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
This incident remains under investigation.
