One Person Critical in U.S. 27 Crash

On July 3, 2024, at approximately 7:55 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area of U.S. 27 and Ferguson Road, reference a person injury crash.

Upon arrival, officers and medics located two vehicles involved in the crash. A preliminary investigation indicated that a passenger car was eastbound on Ferguson Road. An SUV was southbound on U.S. 27. The two vehicles collided in the middle of the intersection. Officers are interviewing witnesses to determine who had the right of way and why they collided.

The driver of the passenger car was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver of the SUV was not injured.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
