On September 5, 2023, at approximately 6:50 A.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to the intersection of Page Road and Antwerp Road, reference a two-vehicle, personal injury crash, that was reported.
Upon arrival, officers and medics located one patient in serious to critical condition.
A preliminary investigation indicated a westbound SUV pulled out in front of a southbound 4-door pickup truck that was pulling a utility trailer. The impact sent both vehicles off the roadway, where the SUV was then pinned against a utility pole.
The driver of the SUV was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. The driver is an adult male. He was the only occupant of the SUV.
The three occupants of the pickup truck were not injured.
This crash remains under investigation.
