On November 10, 2023, at approximately 6:23 A.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 4100 block of New Vision Drive, reference a disturbance between a male and a female in the parking lot of a hotel. Shortly after the initial call, multiple other callers reported gunshots being fired in the parking lot.
Prior to officers arrival, the male suspect fled on foot. Lockdowns of several businesses in the area took place. The male was located in a wooded area nearby within approximately 30 minutes and was taken into custody.
Officers on scene located a vehicle in the parking lot of the hotel with damage from multiple gunshots. The hotel was also struck by gunfire. No individuals were struck.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Indiana State Police.
This incident remains under investigation.

On November 11, 2023, at approximately 10:30 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to the area of Coldwater Road and Watervale Cove, reference a person injury crash. Upon arrival, officers and medics located two vehicles involved.

On November 5, 2023, at approximately 5:33 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to the area of Schwartz Road and Notestine Road, reference a personal injury crash. Upon arrival, officers and medics located one person in serious condition.
