Department investigating infant death

On Monday January 29, 2024, at approximately 0226, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department along with NorthEast Fire and EMS, responded to the 6800 block of Valley Dr. on a reported unconscious infant.  Life saving measures were attempted, however the infant was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Sheriff’s Department investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Allen County Coroner’s Office as well as the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
