For Immediate Release:
On the morning of October 24, 2023, officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and the Allen County Drug Task Force, attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of Washington Center Road and Dartmouth Drive, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The driver of the vehicle, Miroslav Cuckovic, fled from officers but was eventually apprehended after a short pursuit. During the investigation, a half kilo of Fentanyl was discovered, enough to potentially kill over 250,000 people. An investigation by the Allen County Drug Task Force led up to the attempted traffic stop. Miroslav Cuckovic was released from prison earlier this year and is now being held at the Allen County Jail on charges including Dealing in Cocaine or Narcotic Drug and Resisting Law Enforcement.

On November 3, 2023, Warrants and Fugitive Division Officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department conducted surveillance in the 7200 block of Adams Center Road. Just after 11:00 A.M., the subject they were looking for with active warrants was positively identified in a residence.

On October 11, 2023, at approximately 9:55 A.M., Confinement Officers at the Allen County Jail requested EMS after finding an adult male inmate unconscious. The Fort Wayne Fire Department and TRAA medics arrived, as well as Allen County Sheriff's Department personnel, including the Criminal Investigations Division.
